With our support, Publicis Groupe agencies continue to create and deliver award-winning campaigns for their clients. **Overview** The Associate accountant executes the accounting tasks necessary to report the financial statements of agencies with medium/high complexity in accordance with Publicis Group guidelines and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. E.g. HFM reporting, calculation and review of accounting entries, analysis of balance sheet accounts, attention to audits, customer service. **Responsibilities** **Financial Reporting & Accounting** + Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities in alignment with department timelines and standards. + Coordinate with agencies and finance departments to ensure accurate recording of accounting transactions in HFM (Hyperion Financial Management). + Prepare and analyze balance sheet reconciliations, resolve discrepancies, and ensure proper documentation. + Review and prepare journal entries as needed. **Audit & Compliance** + Assist in internal, FMC, and external audits by ensuring documentation accuracy and maintaining control procedures. + Escalate any issues or process deviations to management as appropriate. **Team Support & Communication** + Train new team members and share knowledge of standard procedures. + Maintain proactive communication with supervisors through one-on-one discussions. + Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners. **Process Improvement & Strategic Initiative** + Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy. + Maintain updated process documentation and manuals for all areas of responsibility. + Participate in special initiatives such as system migrations, regional support, and tool implementations. **Qualifications** + Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration. + 3+ years of relevant Finance or Accounting experience. + Advance level of Microsoft Excel (understands the use of conditional formulas, vlookups, use of pivot tables to summarize data and understands how to update graphs without affecting formatting). + Advanced English (oral and written skills). + Familiar with SAP (Altair) is a plus. + Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. + Experience with financial systems (HFM is a plus). + Excellent organizational and communication skills. + Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
