Associate Director of Automation Engineering

Are you ready to lead the charge in automation engineering? As an Associate Director of Automation Engineering, you'll be at the forefront of selecting, crafting, and implementing ground breaking systems for our production facilities. With a focus on continuous improvement and Asset Life Cycle Management, you'll resolve technical issues, manage user access programs, and act as a System Administrator. Your expertise will drive projects and initiatives that enhance our operations and contribute to Lean development.

Accountabilities:

- Support the selection, design, and implementation of new/replacement systems for processes, equipment, and automated systems.
- Resolve technical issues, identify root causes, and define corrective/preventive actions.
- Lead assigned change controls associated with equipment and automated systems.
- Create/update operation and maintenance documentation and training materials.
- Lead user access program for production and facilities equipment.
- Act as System Administrator for production and facilities equipment.
- Lead and implement Data Integrity Risk Assessments (DIRA) for equipment.
- Efficiently manage assigned projects and initiatives.
- Assist engineering, operations, and maintenance on complex projects/initiatives.
- Manage internal and external resources for projects/initiatives.
- Contribute to functional, cross-functional, and departmental development and Lean initiatives.
- Develop OT improvement plan for two production facilities.
- Lead Joint Operations Team for site interaction with IT and key collaborators.

Essential Skills/Experience:

- BA/BS in Engineering/Life Sciences.
- 10+ years applicable experience.
- Working knowledge of electronic theory and its application.
- Understanding of instrumentation and control loops.
- Ability to diagnose PLC systems, particularly Rockwell Automation.
- Experience with distributed control systems, control networks, building management systems, VFD and motor control systems, IT infrastructure.
- Understanding of programming concepts, risk assessment, data analytics, GAMP categories, validation principles.
- Proficiency in investigation and problem-solving.
