Your Role
As a Gensler Architect, your job is to combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for clients. What You Will Do
Resolve complex technical and design issues with team to produce innovative technical/constructible solutions Resolves complex technical/design issues and detailingProduction of drawings, specifications and construction administration tasks while also having the ability to produce drawings and specificationsResponsible for oversight and delivery of documents with design intent and top-notch technical qualityProvides guidance and mentorship to teamMaintain and oversee the project manual and specificationsManage multiple aspects of client, team and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with consultants (structural, MEP, lighting, AV, acoustical, accessibility, building envelope, life safety, etc.)Manage communication between project team, client, vendors, contractors, and consultantsConduct on-site observations and document site reviewsProcess submittals/substitution requests during construction and address RFIsInterface with building and permitting officials during the permitting and construction phases of the projectActively participate and contribute to the financial performance of projectEnsure projects conform to contractActively leading teams for successful delivery of projectsManaging client expectations, team communication and oversight of consultant coordinationContribute to office activities, initiatives and learning programsEstablish and maintain ongoing, productive client relationships through successful project deliveryYour Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school10-15 years of related experience, including demonstrated success on base building and interior renovation projectsHighly proficient in RevitStrong knowledge of building codes, standards and building structuresAbility to understand how buildings are constructed and to create technical documents that succinctly describe the work to be doneExperience with the entire project lifecycle and design process through post-occupancyFlexibility to focus on concurrent projects in various stages of developmentA quick learner with an ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environmentExcellent written + verbal communication and client relationship management skillsExcellent analytical and problem-solving skillsCollaborative and team-consciousAbility to handle difficult situations with tact, grace and styleMust have the ability to maintain existing client relationships and build new client relationships through successful project deliveryDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Portfolios will ideally include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focusRegistered / Licensed Architect requiredFor consideration, please submit resume and portfolio with relevant work samples.
