Analytics Insights Analyst – Supervising Associate
The opportunity
You will be working in a small, agile analytics team within the Global Analytics team in Global Finance; we work with EY’s global leadership to ensure that the best data and analytics-driven insights are used in strategic and operational decision-making across the firm.
Within the analytics team, you will support strategic collaborations with the wider Global Markets teams to provide innovative, data-driven perspectives on key business questions, helping to frame the narratives that will ultimately guide how investments are made across our business.
Your key responsibilities
You will support and collaborate closely wit the Strategic Collaborations lead to provide insightful and actionable analytics to senior stakeholders across the Global Executive within EY.
This analysis will involve key strategic pieces such as:
Account portfolio reviews, working with leadership to understand the business questions they are trying to answer for their portfolio of accounts and providing the regular insights required to answer these Performance and Return on investment analysis to help EY leadership make data led decisions on key initiatives across the business as they evolve Growth opportunity analysis to help unearth areas of opportunity for revenue and margin growth Collaborate with our reporting teams on best practice design of regular reporting dashboard and visualisations
Across your project responsibilities you will be required to:
Extract and join multiple data sources together at scale for the purposes of analysis using SQL Create visually compelling PowerBI dashboards at an enterprise level (experience of RLS management a plus), and ability to manage data models to support these dashboard Showcase experience in putting together a convincing analytics story to drive action with stakeholders Exhibit a professional curiosity for digging into the data to find valuable insights, proactively asking what is the next question that could be answered Demonstrate best in class levels of accuracy and detail in your work ensuring integrity in analysis consumed at a high level in EY Knowledge or experience of key Data Science and AI methodologies a bonus, and at a minimum a curiosity and eagerness to learn in this area Take ownership of select projects and be the point of contact for these with stakeholders
You will proactively identify opportunities for our stakeholders to make better use of data & analytics, anticipating their needs based on your deep understanding of their business.

To qualify for the role you must have:
Comfortable presenting to senior stakeholders and good track of record of delivering quality work The ability to determine, explain, and produce the appropriate visualization to illustrate a key insight Experience in devising/employing the right analytics methodologies for the business question being asked to inform better business decisions Experience using relational databases to manage and manipulate data for analysis Strong practical experience of writing code in SQL to bring together and interrogate multiple sources of data to produce outputs for analysis Demonstratable experience in relevant roles, including significant (5+ years), experience in hand on data insight / analytics roles Experience of PowerBI
Ideally, you’ll also have some of the following:
Experience automating the production of data-driven reporting Experience building interactive dashboards in multiple platforms A strong understanding of product management best practice
