Qualcomm is opening applications for **Research Residency Batch 14** . **About the Research Residency Program (RRP) (24 months)** : Residents will delve into AI research within one of three specialized areas: machine learning, computer vision, or natural language processing. Research residents will hone their analytical, writing, and presentation skills, and elevate their English proficiency to meet the standards of leading global research labs. Additionally, research-focused residents will participate in an applied research rotation to gain invaluable industry experience. **Eligibility & Qualifications** + Final-year students or recent graduates in Computer Science (or cognate fields) from Vietnamese or international universities. + Minimum GPA: 3.2/4.0 or 8.0/10 or equivalent. + Strong, self-driven interest in research and ability to learn complex technical material. + Exceptional aptitude in mathematics and coding. Preference given to candidates with demonstrated abilities (e.g., research experience, competitions, GitHub repos, AI coursework). + Competent English language skills in reading, writing, and speaking. Specialized technical English communication training will be provided. **Key Responsibilities** + **Engage in cutting-edge research:** Participate directly in innovative AI research projects, working closely with experienced AI researchers. + **Contribute to full research lifecycle:** From initial idea generation and methodology formulation to experiment design and implementation. + **Analyze and present research findings:** Analyze research results, interpret data, and contribute to the writing and presentation of findings at top-tier AI conferences, such as NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, and EMNLP. + **Participate in applied research rotations:** Gaining hands-on experience in project execution, engineering, and product management. + **Develop well-rounded capability:** Be trained in fundamental courses designed for comprehensive development in Machine Learning and Mathematics, English language proficiency, ethics and soft skills. **Selection Process** The Qualcomm AI Residency Program employs a rigorous multi-stage selection process.
