Captives Regional Managing Director, EMEA The Regional Managing Director is accountable for our EMEA captive and insurance management operations. This role is EMEA-based and will report to the Global Captive Leader of Aon Captive and Insurance Management, with a helix to the Aon Global Risk Consulting (AGRC) Leader for EMEA. What the day will look like + Inspiring and Leading Transformation: Drive the sustainable growth of our captive and insurance management client portfolio in EMEA by fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. Collaborate closely with the AGRC Leader for EMEA and relevant industry vertical and emerging risk practice groups. + Strategic Collaboration: Partner with Commercial Risk Solutions colleagues across EMEA, leveraging our predictive analytics capabilities to support the application of structured risk retention and transfer strategies across: + Our portfolio of captive clients and prospects + The broader Commercial Risk Solutions EMEA client portfolio + Team Development and Empowerment: Build and develop cohesive, high-performing teams across the region. Implement the priorities of the Captive and Insurance Management group Talent Agenda, focusing on nurturing talent and promoting professional growth. + Creating Client Value: Make a meaningful impact on large accounts by driving new business acquisition, expanding revenue, and ensuring successful client retention and defence. Specific Responsibilities: + Strategic Risk Advisory: Work with the AGRC Leader for EMEA to actively support industry and specialty practice groups and Enterprise Clients across EMEA. Implement strategic risk advisory services into large and complex accounts. + Knowledge Expansion: Build the EMEA knowledge base and execution capabilities to expand the client footprint in collaboration with Captive and Insurance Management’s leaders. + Client Portfolio Management: Manage a portfolio of clients in line with relevant country regulatory and client requirements. + Thought Leadership: Take a leadership role in relevant thought leadership initiatives, such as Captive Benchmarking, Risk Maturity Index, and Global Risk Management Survey. Skills and experience that will lead to success + Experience of driving transformational change projects. + Strong ability in developing and implementing strategic plans that align with overall company goals, analyzing market trends, and identifying growth opportunities. + Knowledge and understanding of financial principles to manage budgets, forecast, and ensure profitability. + Excel in both verbal and written communication to convey expectations and feedback effectively across diverse teams. + Extensive experience in team building and development is required. + Be able to confidently identify problems, evaluate solutions, and implement the best outcomes. + Client Relationship Management experience at c-suite level is expected. + Be able to respond swiftly to changes in the business landscape, such as regulatory shifts or market demands. + Hold a professional qualification, ideally insurance or finance related disciplines.
