Account Executive - Networking (New Zealand)

Role Overview:

Your Impact:
As a Networking Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and positioning Cisco’s Networking portfolio within key accounts. You will work directly with customers and partners to understand their Networking & Security challenges and demonstrate how Cisco’s solutions can enable their businesses.
Success in this role requires a strong understanding of Networking, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to engage with key decision-makers in both technical and business conversations. You will:
* Identify and develop new business opportunities in public sector, enterprise and commercial accounts.
* Collaborate with Cisco account teams in the execution of strategic plans.
* Drive revenue growth by positioning Cisco’s Networking solutions to meet customer needs.
* Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals.
* Work closely with various stakeholders throughout the sales process.
* Articulate the value of Cisco’s Networking portfolio, including Secure Networking, SDWAN, Wireless and Switching platforms.
* Develop and present tailored proposals and business cases to customers.
* Engage and enable Cisco’s partner ecosystem to drive joint success.
* Support partners in identifying and closing Cisco Networking opportunities.
* Market & Competitive Intelligence.
* Stay informed about industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive offerings.
* Leverage market insights to differentiate Cisco’s solutions and refine sales strategies.
Minimum Qualifications:
* 8+ years of technology-related sales experience with a focus on business development and new technology incubation.
* Success in sales and various sales methodologies (i.e. MEDDPICC).
* Consistent track record in managing and winning major strategic opportunities in public sector and/or large enterprise accounts
* Excellent presentation skills - ability to value-sell and deliver engaging workshops/seminars to IT and business audiences on networking, security, AI and/or cloud topics to regularly evangelise Cisco's capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
* Experience with defining and articulating a technology journey for your customers.
* Track record of growing revenue for new innovative technology-based solutions.
* Ability to build in-depth business expertise in the underlying and associated aspects of Enterprise Networking solution value, technologies and architectures.
* Ability to execute on a business plan to gain market share, build solid relationships with customers and internal constituents.
* Ability to influence and lead within a matrixed organizational model.
