Account Executive - Architecture (Canberra)

Meet the Team The Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO) is a high-performing team focused on helping organizations strengthen their cybersecurity posture with Cisco’s industry-leading security solutions. We work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams to drive business growth while delivering cutting-edge security solutions that protect against evolving threats. Your Impact As an Account Executive, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market share, and positioning Cisco’s Security portfolio within key accounts. You will work directly with customers and partners to understand their security challenges and demonstrate how Cisco’s security solutions can protect their businesses. Success in this role requires a strong understanding of cybersecurity, a consultative sales approach, and the ability to engage with key decision-makers in both technical and business conversations. What you will do: * Identify and develop new business opportunities in public sector and enterprise accounts. * Drive revenue growth by positioning Cisco’s security solutions to meet customer needs. * Manage the entire sales cycle from lead generation to closing deals. * Work closely with CISOs, IT leaders, and procurement teams to understand security challenges. * Articulate the value of Cisco’s security portfolio, including Zero Trust, SASE, XDR, and Secure Cloud solutions. * Develop and present tailored proposals and business cases to customers. * Engage and enable Cisco’s partner ecosystem to drive joint success. * Support partners in identifying and closing cybersecurity opportunities. * Market & Competitive Intelligence * Stay informed about industry trends, emerging threats, and competitive offerings. * Leverage market insights to differentiate Cisco’s solutions and refine sales strategies. Minimum Qualifications: * Proven track record in cybersecurity sales or technology sales with a focus on security solutions. * Strong ability to engage with customers, build relationships, and drive sales opportunities. * Knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape, including key technologies, trends, and competitive offerings. * Experience working with public sector or enterprise customers (highly regarded). * Ability to obtain and maintain an Australian Government security clearance. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Sales, Business, Cybersecurity, or a related field. * Industry certifications (e.g., CISSP, CCSP) are a plus but not required. * Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. * Ability to work collaboratively with partners and internal teams. \#WeAreCisco \#WeAreCisco where every individual brings their unique skills and perspectives together to pursue our purpose of powering an inclusive future for all.
